Freshwater streams across the globe face elevated algal invasion risks

In the June 2nd issue of the esteemed scientific journal Geophysical Research Letters, scientists revealed that some of the world’s most pristine and clean waterways may be at an elevated risk of suffering from the ill-effects of algal invasions. Known as rock snot (Didymosphenia geminata or Didymo for short), it’s a form of algae that clings to rocks and spreads rapidly until it takes over the entire ecosystem of the stream, often killing off local plants and microbes. The alga presents a threat to the ecosystem and economic health of these watercourses. The organism can affect fisheries, and reduce the available levels of oxygen in the water significantly. Didymo has taken over low-nutrient rivers in North America and Europe. It has also invaded water bodies in the Southern Hemisphere, including those in New Zealand and Chile. Read more HERE.

 END TIMES TRUTH

Contamination of fresh water has reached the point of no return this side of Yahweh’s later intervention to re-purify the waters of this planet. Revelation 16:4 “The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood.”
