Insurance firms on the verge of bankruptcy

The news has been filled with examples of extreme weather that often are accompanied with the risk of property damage. Property damage is one of the dirtiest terms in the insurance industry. Insurance companies’ earnings are powered by collecting premiums and, conversely, hurt by paying out claims. If there’s an increase in natural disasters that cause property damage that exceeds estimates, that can create a drag on earnings.

Insurance market Lloyds dives into red on catastrophes

The insurance companies will belly up after this year of losses unless the United States government can bail them out. 100% in crop failure claims, and billions in loss payouts for the changing weather patterns that are destined to bring more devastation. In the past, the insurers have based their losses on past statistics, but can no longer rely on  that data. All are nearing the verge of being bankrupt.

Accelerated global water cycle

Fresh water evaporates from the oceans, rains out over land and then runs back into the seas. A study finds evidence that global warming has been speeding up this hydrological cycle recently, a change that could lead to more violent storms. It could also alter where precipitation falls — drying temperate areas, those places where most people now live. Global annual precipitation also appears to be on the rise, but at only half the increase seen in river runoff. If prolonged, this differential would suggest that major terrestrial stores of water — such as ground aquifers and glaciers — are drying up (a trend that other studies have been chronicling). With climate warming, long-frozen stores of water — glaciers and permafrost — could be gushing into the seas from regions largely out of humanity’s view. This would also be expected to eventually raise sea levels and generally dry temperate regions that depend on rivers to slake their thirsts. (Science News)

The seas will steam up and much water will evaporate up into the atmosphere as Yahweh reforms the canopy around this planet. The polar ice caps will all become extinct. With that action, many fish and other sea creatures will perish. Mankind will make a vain effort to harvest dying fish populations to fish farms and hatcheries, but all will fail in salvaging what must perish.

Isaiah 50:2 “Why was no one there when I came? Why was there no one to answer when I called? Is My hand too short to redeem? Or do I have no power to deliver? Look, I dry up the sea by My rebuke; I turn the rivers into a wilderness; their fish rot because of lack of water and die of thirst.”
