(May 28) A 15-foot sink hole caused a road closure in Columbus, Minnesotta. (Source)
(May 26) A massive crater appeared alongside the road in between the cities of Black Hawk and Central City in Colorado The asphalt on the side of the road gave way to a small cavern early Saturday morning. By midday the cavern had turned into a crater. (Source)
(May 25) A sinkhole, about 4-5 feet deep and 8-10 feet across, developed at the edge of the street and into the driveway at 906 Spruce St. in Martinsville, Virginia, after Tuesday’s storm and flooding. (Source)

(May 23) A sinkhole in New Mexico is growing and causing traffic problems. The sinkhole, on Albuquerque’s West Side, already caused one accident, when a motorcyclist drove into the hole and wrecked. He was taken to the hospital with non life- threatening injuries. (Source)
(May 22) A water main break and sink hole snarled traffic in Springettsbury Township in Pennsylvania. (Source)
(May 22) A four-metre square sinkhole opened up in a major downtown Montreal street in Canada just hours after a massive student protest had marched over it. The sinkhole is located not far from McGill University on Sherbrooke Street, one of Montreal’s key east-west arteries. (Source)

(May 21) Water servince in Tuscany Hills, California, was briefly interrupted by water main break, which also caused a sinkhole to develop. (Source)
(May 21) The entire City of Fulton in New York remains under a boil water advisory after a large sinkhole damaged one of the city’s main water wells. Though the cloudy water, in and of itself, may not present a threat to health, Woodward says it could allow for the development of disease carrying bacteria and viruses. (Source)
(May 19) A family of three living on Longview Drive in Hampton, New Jersey, is grappling with a large sinkhole, which measures around 12 feet in diameter and is 21 feet deep, in their driveway. (Source)
(May 18) A 10ft deep crater appeared suddenly just yards from people’s homes in Newburn, near Newcastle in the UK, taking an 8ft section of brick wall with it. (Source)
(May 18) A resident of Davenport, Illinois woke up last week to find this 18-foot hole in front of her house. She says no one was around when the ground sunk in, but it was a close call. (Source)
(May 18) On Puritan Road in Swampscott, Massachusetts, a large sink hole formed, an oval about 10 feet long and five feet across — at its longest and widest points. 20 homes are without water. (Source)
